My
dear Brother Knights,
On
behalf of the members of the Knights of Rizal, Czech Republic, I would like to
announce this very important change in the upcoming Rizal-Blumentritt Friendship
Celebration on November 14-16, 2008.
The situation had called our attention
to tone down the extravagant celebration we have prepared. I believe our timing
has not a good reason to celebrate whatever purpose we want to achieve while some
of our dear brothers are mourning for their losses. We should rather focus our
attention with them through silence and prayers during these moments.
Our
Chapter Commander for Litomerice Sir Mayor Chlupac son had passed away, as I have
emailed to you earlier. Our Brother Issak of Prague Chapter have a family member
confined in hospital for cancer. The passing of a long time fellow Knight in Brussels,
and Pragues beloved Filipina community leader Nita suffered a stroke and
has been confined in hospital as well. One of our guests sister coming from the
Philippines representing the Kababaihan of Rizals was just recently confined in
hospital and needs kidney transplant...
All these, the Knights of Rizal
and the Filipino community of Prague have expressed sadness and concern. Some
may not be able to attend the event much more to celebrate, enjoy and focus their
attention with the visiting Knights.
My my deepest sadness with this announcement.
We will find a better day to celebrate like how we did when we inaugurated the
Prague Chapter. For sure we will let you know and hope you to be with us.
For those coming from abroad and made a non-cancelable hotel and airfares we will
still entertain you and bring you to important places where Rizal have visited.
We will be here to show you the best we have. Things will go on, only without
the party.
As always, rest assure we treasure your support...
Very
Sincerely,
Sir
Noubikko, KCR
Prague Chapter Commander and
Deputy
Area Commander for Czech Republic
